A man from Alton was arrested after he allegedly tried to avoid police and hit another vehicle. 45 year old Jeremiah Clyde Lucas is charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing damage of more than $1,000. Lucas allegedly hit another vehicle in a parking lot then drove off at a high rate of speed. His bond was set at $1,500.
