Mammoth Spring Chief Of Police Michael Davis is reporting the arrest of a Mammoth Spring man in connection with the theft of several items including money orders and a Kabota UTV. Chief Davis was alerted Monday that a suspicious man was at FNBC attempting to cash a stolen money order. 24 year old Harley Tibbits was arrested and during a search of Tibbits, Chief Davis discovered a key to the UTV. The UTV was stolen out of Randolph County. Tibbits will be charged with felony forgery and felony theft by receiving, along with breaking and entering and theft for breaking into a motor vehicle. During a search of Tibbits vehicle they found more property stolen in Missouri. A second suspect was arrested in connection with the thefts in Missouri. 32 year old Nick McIntire of Mammoth Spring was arrested and charges are pending for theft by receiving and possession of a controlled substance-marijuana. Both Tibbits and McIntire were taken to Fulton County Jail. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
