In the Class 2 State Semi-finals
The Thayer lady Bobcats get an exciting 48-43 win over Clopton. The lady Bobcats trailed by 6 points early in the fourth quarter but rallied to get the win thanks to great defense down the stretch from Angela Sorrel who made two big steals in the final 30 seconds and hit a pair of free throws in the finals seconds to give Thayer a 5 point lead. Sorrell finished with 10 points. Julie Stone led Thayer with 19 points in the win. The Lady Bobcats will play Mid-Buchanan Today at 4:30 at JQH Arena in Springfield for the Class 2 State Championship We will have the game on KKountry 95
in the Other Semi-Final, The Hartville lady Eagles started slow and couldn’t catch up as they lost to Mid Bucahanan 57-53. Hartville will play Clopton today at 12:50 for Third Place
In The Class 1 State Semi-Finals
The Dora Falcons win a close one in overtime, beating St Elizabeth 80-71. mason Luna scored 8 of the Falcons 11 points in Overtime and finished with 18 points in the game and Isaac Haney led all scorers with 28 points. The Dora Flacons play for the State Championship today at 6:20 at JQH Arena in Springfield against Jefferson Conception.
