The April 2, general Municipal Election is just a few weeks away and there are several contested races and issued that we will be watching closely. Today we are taking a look at the contested races in Howell County. Four people are running for two positions on the school board at Howell Valley R-1, they are Levi McWilliams, Wade Collins, Sarah Callahan and Jamie Dixon. Three people are vying for two spots on the Oregon-Howell R-III school board, they are Dale Hunsperger, Greg C. Howell and JR Stirewalt. Three people are running for two positions on the Ricahrds R-V School Board, they are Ray Murphy, Brian Morrison, and Brian Powers. In Mountain View two people are running for east ward Alderman, they are William Bill Altermatt and Wes Stuart. In Willow Springs two people are running for Mayor, they are Brooke Fair and Devan Daniels. there are also two issues on the ballot in Howell County. One is a Hotel Tax in the City of West Plains and the other is a sales tax for the South Howell County Ambulance District. Tomorrow we take a look at contested races in OregonCounty.
