Oregon County Contested Races On April 2nd

The April 2nd  General Municipal Election are just a few weeks away and yesterday we told you about the contested races in Howell County, today we take a look at the contested races in Oregon County. In Alton three people are running for two seats on the Alton School board, they are, Becky Granger, Christopher K. Clark and Justin J-E Heck. Three people are also running for two positions on the Couch School board, they are Luke Edward Fisher, Nichole Melton Roy and Jeffery D. Roberts.  Three are running for two spots on the Thayer School Board. The candidates are Ralph Jared Underwood, Deanna king Smith and Noval Wilbanks.  Three candidates are running for school board in the Oregon-Howell R-III, two will be elected, running is Dale Hunsperger, greg C. Howell and JR Stirewalt.  In Thayer two people are running for Mayor, they are incumbent, Ken Cotham and challenger Michael Jay King. In Koshkonong four people are running for two spots as alderman, they are James Barnett, Matthew Codey Bryant, Vonda Collins and Thomas Lowe. In Alton resident will be asked to vote on a question on the ballot  to forgo annual elections through 2025 for each office where the number of candidates equals the number of positions.
