This week we have been taking a look at the contested races in the upcoming April 2nd General Municipal Election, Yesterday we took a look at Ozark County and today we check out Douglas County. In the Ava School district four people are running for two positions on the board, they are Rance Tanner Clark, Dan Johnson, Anna Gamboa, and Brandi Kay Stanifer. Three people are running for Mayor in Ava, the candidates are Burrely Loftin, Kenny Thompson, and Lonnie Atchison. Three people are running for alderman east ward in Ava, they are Billy Stewart, Teresa Jost and Tom Gunter. Two people are running for the Ava Ambulance District Board, they are Scotty Upchurch and Del Barton. Two people are running for Southern Webster County Fire Protection District Board , they are David Davis and Kevin Lewis. Three people are running for the Cabool R-IV school Board, they are Shaun Watson, Jacob Reese and Brenda Jarrett. Four people are running for the Plainview School board, they are Tiffany Guilliams, Jessica Hall, Randall Whitaker and Teresa Blakey and three are running for the Skyline R-II school board they are Bradley Loveless, Sarah Harden and Fredrick Deehow. Voters in the Cabool School District will also vote on weather or not to continue the current tax levy through 2034.
