Last week we took a look at some of the contested races in the upcoming April 2nd General Municipal elections in Missouri, We continue today by taking a look at the contested races in Shannon County. In Birch Tree for two positions as alderman, there are 5 candidates, they are Fred McAffee, Robert Miley, Joyce Neeman, Melton Spencer, and Jackson Rutlege. For two positions on the Eminence School board there are three candidates, they are Carl Younger, Brian Wallace and Melinda Mindy Sue Burnes-Ipock. For Eminence Alder man two people are running for one spot, they are Doyle Conner and John Stewart. For Southern Reynolds County R-II School board three people are running for two positions, they are Ryan Chilton, Caleb McCoy and Gary Copeland and for Bunker School board three are running for two seats, they are Gary Skaggs, Joel Steelman and Todd Sutton. Shannon County Residents will also be asked to vote on a ½ percent Road tax.
