A West Plains man was injured in an accident south of West Plains Wednesday morning. The Highway Patrol reports that 45 year old Michael Deshazo suffered serious injuries when he drove off the road, hit two trees and overturned the car he was driving. Deshazo was ejected from the car. He was taken to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. Deshazo was also charged with felony possession of a controlled substance-meth, driving while intoxicated, no insurance, no seat belt, and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
