A West Plains Man Pleads Guilty To Involuntary Manslaughter Charge

A West Plains man who was charged with second degree murder has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter charges. 22 year old Grayson Smith entered the guilty plea on Wednesday. Smith was involved in a high speed chase in 2017, that ended when he crashed the vehicle and 29 year old Kannen Farris of West Plains was killed. Smith also pleaded guilty to felony resisting arrest by fleeing, creating a substantial risk of serious injury or death and misdemeanor charges of speeding and failure to stop at a stop sign. Smith will be sentenced at a later time.
