A man from Plato is being held in Texas County on assault and kidnapping charges. 31 year old Mark Kaleise is charged with second degree domestic assault and kidnapping. He allegedly pulled a woman out of bed, kicked her in the back, shoved her into a closet and choked her until she lost consciousness. She was then placed on a couch and told to stay. Kaleise was released from prison in March and he then moved in with the victim. Kaleise is being held in Texas County Jail with bond set at $250,000
