A man from Alton has been arrested after incident with his girlfriend, her children and the children’s father. 28 year old Johnny Biggs III allegedly told authorities that he had followed his girlfriend to meet the children’s father and when he got out of his vehicle he grabbed a shotgun and it went off while pointed at the ground, but the girlfriend allegedly told authorities that he fired the gun at the ground and threatened her. The Children’s father allegedly told the authorities what the girlfriend had said. The children were present when the incident happened. Biggs is charged with 2 counts of first degree endangering the welfare of a child creating substantial risk and one count each of armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, fourth degree domestic assault and fourth degree assault. His bond was set at $15,000.
