The Community Foundation of the Ozarks is accepting donations to support community recovery efforts from the tornado and flooding damage related to last week’s storms.

A series of tornados, followed by flooding, affected a large region of southwest Missouri Tuesday and Wednesday.

Secure online donations can be made to the Southern Missouri Recovery Fund for general recovery or specific communities at: cfozarks.org/somorecovery.

Checks can be mailed to: Community Foundation of the Ozarks, P.O. Box 8960, Springfield, MO, 65801. Donors should note the name if they wish to support a particular community. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the IRS.

Funds will be used to support recovery efforts through a grant making process to nonprofit organizations that address high-priority community needs.

The Community Foundation of the Ozarks is a regional public charitable foundation established in 1973 that provides asset and resource development, grant making and public leadership through a network of donors, 49 affiliate foundations and some 600 nonprofit partners across central and southern Missouri.
