A man from Melbourne Arkansas has been arrested for allegedly stealing a handbag from a shopping cart in Mountain Home.. 56 year old Darrin Bailey allegedly took the bag from the shopping cart and put it in the trunk of his vehicle. He then drove a short distance and took a handgun out of the purse, putting the gun in the trunk then returning the handbag to the store’s loss prevention department. Video surveillance showed Bailey taking the purse. He is charged with felony theft of property. He was released on his own recognizance.
