The Baxter County Sheriff’s Department reports the arrest of a man from Buford after a two hour manhunt Monday 23 year old Dillon Douglas Fields was arrested around 2:15 Monday afternoon. Field was a suspect in open burglary investigations. When they found him they also found meth and drug paraphernalia in his vehicle and a 9mm handgun with the serial number defaced. A sawed off shotgun was later found in the vehicle. Field is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance meth, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, felony simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, two counts of felony possession of a defaced firearm. and felony fleeing. Bond for Fields was set at $25,000.
