Two subjects have been taken into custody after a high speed chase last night through Lawrence, Sharp and Fulton Counties. Shortly after 8 last night A Lawrence County deputy began a pursuit of a subject that had refused to stop. Ravenden Police were notified and spike strips were deployed. The driver went around the strips barely missing a patrol unit. Sharp County sheriff’s Department was notified and they joined the pursuit which reached speeds up to 100 mph. Sharp County and Hardy Police were unable to pit the vehicle and the pursuit continued and authorities in Fulton County along with Mammoth Spring and Thayer Pd’s and the Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified that a dangerous pursuit was headed their way. Strips were set up at the Arkansas Missouri State Line. Patrol unit was able top strike the vehicle causing it to spin out just feet from the State line. No one was injured and both subjects in the vehicle were taken to Lawrence County Jail. The Driver was identified as James Cannon of Little Rock , a wanted felon who has outstanding warrants and has a lengthy criminal record. Cannonm was charged with felony fleeing, felony assault of a police officer, driving left of center and driving on a suspended license. The passenger was Alexandra Garza who was arrested for public intoxication.

Sharp County and Hardy Police set up spike strips. The pursuit continued until the subject wrecked the vehicle near Sonic in Mammoth Spring. No one was injured and both subjects in the vehicle were taken to Lawrence County Jail. No names have been released at this time.
