States opposing abortion have been passing legislation across the nation that they hope will see its day in the newly balance Supreme Court and create discussion on overturning Roe V. Wade. Missouri is following in the footsteps of Kentucky, Mississippi, Ohio, and Georgia in banning abortion, but in Missouri the ban is after 8 weeks from conception. Early Thursday morning the Missouri Senate voted to pass the bill. This comes just after the Alabama legislature sent one of the strictest abortion bills in the country to their governor earlier this week. Missouri Senator Bob Onder (R) hopes that the legislation does make its way to the supreme court.
