A Mountain Home woman accused of hurting her 18 month old daughter has entered a guilty plea in Baxter County. 21 year old Samantha Sue Laverty was set to go to trial this week on battery and endangering the welfare of a child charges. She entered the guilty plea last week and will be sentenced in July. The baby suffered a broken femur in September of 2018 and was taken to Arkansas children’s Hospital. The child also allegedly had bruising on her face and tested positive for high levels of amphetamines and methamphetamine. Arkansas children’s Hospital staff reported the amount of meth in the baby’s system was 150 times more than required for a positive test result.
