A woman from Arnold Missouri drown on the Black River in Reynolds County over the weekend. Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 44 year old Vanessa Gutierrez drown when the kayak she was in hit a submerged log and Gutierrez was ejected from the kayak and became lodged against the submerged log with it pulling her under the water. The accident happened about a mile south of Lesterville at the Smiley face take out on the Black River.
