A woman from Alton was flown to a Springfield Hospital and her son has been charged with assaulting her. Authorities report that the woman was allegedly struck in the face repeatedly by her son. 34 year old Shawn Aul of Alton is charged with first degree assault serious injury. Bail for Aul was set at $150,000
