Another round of severe thunderstorms are in the forecast for later today, with the potential for heavy rain across northern Arkansas and southern Missouri, and the National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning, in effect until 7:00 Thursday morning. With the ground already saturated, creeks and rivers and area lakes already at or above flood stage, officials say we could be in for more widespread flooding in the region. People living in or near flood plains and areas prone to flooding, should remain weather aware this afternoon and tonight.
We are already seeing major flooding along the Arkansas and Mississippi rivers.
