The St. Louis Cardinals avoided being swept in Philly with a 5-3 on Thursday afternoon.

Dakota was terrific on the mound, going 6 innings and giving up just 1 run.  The offense featured the long ball, as Marcel Ozuna, Matt Carpenter, Jed Gyorko and Matt Weiters all hit homers in the win.

The Cards head back to Busch to open a series with the 1st place Chicago Cubs on Friday night.
