WEST PLAINS, Mo. — A Thayer man will appear in court later this week after police say he burglarized a West Plains home in March.
35-year-old Aaron McIntire was charged with felony burglary, felony stealing a controlled substance and misdemeanor property damage.
A probable cause statement in the case says a resident of Simpson Street reported to police on March 9 that his front door had been kicked in sometime the day before and prescription medication and several screwdrivers were stolen from the residence.
McIntire was arrested 4 days later after officers reportedly found him attempting to break into a vehicle at a home a few blocks away on E. Maple St., which he reportedly burglarized a few nights prior.
The next day, officers went to the home McIntire was staying at and recovered the prescription bottle stolen from the Simpson St. home and several items stolen from the home on E. Maple.
McIntire was released on bond on Tuesday and is scheduled to appear in Howell County court this Friday, May 31.
