MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. — A Cotter man who was previously incarcerated in Baxter County now faces rape charges.
34-year-old Roger Hicks was arrested on child endangerment and non-payment of child support charges and held in the Baxter County Jail on Wednesday, May 29.
The charges stem from the rape of an 11-year-old female that took place in Midway on January 18 and was reported to police on January 23. Sheriff John Montgomery says DNA taken from the girl’s clothing was matched a known DNA sample of Hicks, whose DNA is already on file.
Hicks reportedly refused to speak with investigators.
Hicks is held on $100,000 bond and will appear in court before June 20.
