
A man from West Plains suffered serious injuries and two West Plains Police Officers suffered smoke inhalation Monday afternoon. According to reports, the fire department responded to house fire around 1:30 Monday afternoon just north of the West Plains High School. When fire crews walked into the house they saw a man lying on the floor. The man became aggressive with officers who were trying to rescue him. They were eventually able to get the man out of the house but the two officers breathed too much smoke and had to be treated for smoke inhalation. The man who they believe started the fire in his home was taken to the hospital.
