A local Sheriff is battling Lung cancer. Izard County sheriff Earnie Blackley announced on his Facebook page that he has just started treatment for stage 4 lung cancer. Blackley was elected as Sheriff in November of last year. Blackley is being treated at the University Of Arkansas for Medical sciences. Blackley said he would have five more rounds of treatment after this round.
