
Monday Afternoon at around 4:20pm, Oregon County Sheriff Office were dispatched to CR 264 outside of Thayer for the report of a Stolen Vehicle which just occurred. Deputy’s arrived in the area and began attempting to locate the suspect and vehicle. During the search another vehicle was stolen on V Highway near Jeff Cemetary. It was found the first vehicle was left at the residence on V highway. The suspect entered a barn on V highway and attempted to steal a four wheeler, then went to a car port and stole a Ford SUV. Officers were notified the Ford had driven through several fences and properties on Cr 248 and CR 249. Deputys located the accused on CR 252. The suspect fled on foot through the field. When Deputies attempted to take the suspect into custody he punch one Deputy in the face with a closed fist causing redness and swelling. The suspect was taken into custody.
The suspect was identified as John J Boudoin 29, Of Kingsport, TN. Boudoin was chareged with 3 counts of Tampering with Motor Vehicle, 2 counts stealing, Burglary, property damage, Resiting Law Enforcement, Assault on special Victim. Boudoin is being held in the Oregon County Jail with a $250,000 dollar bond.
