Three Ava residents were arrested by the Highway Patrol early Saturday morning. 25 year old Shaniah Reese was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance, felony tampering with evidence and no seat belt, She was taken to the Douglas County jail then released. 54 year old Scottie Pippin was arrested on a felony Christian County warrant for probation violation and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Douglas County jail and is being held without bond. 33 year old Sean Mason was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance, felony tampering with evidence, felon in possession of a firearm, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to display valid plates, no insurance and no seat belt. He was taken to the Douglas County jail and placed on a 24 hour hold.
