Fireworks Were The Cause Of A Fire Saturday In Howell County

Authorities say that fireworks were to blame for an apartment fire Saturday night in Howell County. Howell Rural Firefighters were called to a fire on AB Highway around 10:15 Saturday night, and when they arrived the porches of two duplexes were on fire. Both apartments were damaged and estimated cost of damage is said to be around $25,000 and $10,000 for contents. No one was injured but three adults and two children were left homeless. The American Red Cross responded to help them. Howell Rural Fire Department was assisted by West Plains and Pottersville Fire Departments.
