A man from Birch Tree was arrested for abuse of a child Wednesday. The Missouri State Highway patrol arrested 34 year old Christopher Parsons around 5 pm Wednesday on charges of felony abuse of a child. He was taken to the Shannon County Jail and placed on a 24 hour hold.
