The Izard County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday Morning on Ridge Circle in Horseshoe Bend. Around 3:30 the Sheriff’s Department received a call of a shooting When they arrived they found 30 year old Mitchel Dunkel had been shot multiple times. He was flown to a Jonesboro hospital for treatment of his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening. A Suspect was developed and arrested about an hour and half later in Mountain Home. The Suspect is identified as 61 year old Jerry Lynn Williams of Mountain Home formerly of Horseshoe Bend. Williams is being held pending formal charges.
