Authorities in Lawrence County are reporting that an 8 year child was run over by a car around 10 am Tuesday morning. The accident happened on county road 219 near Black Rock. The car backed over the child causing several cuts and abrasions. The child was flown to LeBonhuer Children’s hospital in Memphis. The child was reportedly alert when the helicopter took off. No names have been released.
