The Thayer City Council met last night at City hall for their regular monthly meeting. Before the meeting began they held a town hall meeting to discuss the Thayer memorial Airport. After about an hour of discussion on repairs and possible changes they would like to make. The council agreed to continue to discuss the issues at a later time. They also plan of forming an advisory board for the airport and had those in attendance sign up if they would like to be on the board. No action was taken on the issue. During the regular council meeting, the councilmen discussed an Ordinance on mailing disconnect notices instead of hand delivering them. They agreed to discontinue delivering them but for July and August they will send them out through the mail, then after that if the bill is not paid by the 20th of each month it will be disconnected. The Council then approve a water department request for an additional water pump. They discussed a mobile home ordinance, they approve ordinance #2011 Bill # 2010 that regulates planting , maintenance, and removal of trees, shrubs and other plants upon publicv property., and they approved an ordinance accepting the 2019/2020 budget.
