Friday evening at approximately 5:25 P.M. officers responded to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, for a report of a male that had been shot in the Emergency Room parking lot. Upon investigation it was determined 60 year old Michael Ashbrook of West Plains suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Mr. Ashbrook was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency medical treatment was administered by hospital staff.
