A Retired astronaut from Eminence has been honored with a medal for his service by Governor Mike Parson. Missourinet reports that Thomas Akers is a veteran of four spacewalks and retired from the Air Force in 1999. He says that sitting in the back of an Air Force Plane is not for everyone
