Three people were injured in a two vehicle accident Thursday evening on Missouri 17 south of West Plains. The Highway Patrol reports that 63 year old Rodger Young of Peace Valley suffered serious injuries and 66 year old Joel Smith and 56 year old Annette Smith both of West Plains both suffered moderate injuries when Annette Smith pulled in front of the vehicle that Young was driving. Young was flown to Cox South in Springfield. Both the Smith’s were taken to OMC in West Plains. The accident happened around 6 Thursday evening about 5 miles south of West Plains.
