Cardinals right-hander Jack Flaherty is not a fan of the designated hitter.
Not because he doesn’t like facing them when he’s pitching, but because having a DH in the lineup means he doesn’t get to hit, as was the case in Tuesday night’s 2-0 win over the Royals at Kauffman Stadium.
Flaherty pitched 7 scoreless innings and the Cardinals stretched their winning streak to 4 games and moved to within one game of the Chicago Cubs in the national League Central.
