A West Plains man was arrested by the Highway patrol early Tuesday morning on drug charges. 29 year old Chad Sandkam was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, heroin, possession of a controlled substance amphetamine and dextroamphetamine, leaving the scene of an accident and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Phelps County jail and placed on a 12 hour hold.
