West Plains City Council met Monday for their regular monthly meeting. During the meeting the council approved a renewable power purchase agreement and a real estate lease agreement between the City and Westar Energy to build a solar farm. The farm is projected to save the city about $20.6 over 30 years. The solar farm will be built at the old city landfill on county road 1770.
