The Cardinals lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 5-3 Wednesday in a rain shortened game at Busch Stadium.
Adam Wainwright gave up 4 runs in the first inning and Cardinals never could recover, losing to the Brewers for the first time in the last seven games.
Since the Cubs won Wednesday the Cardinals are now a half game behind Chicago in the NL Central.
Tonight St Louis will host Colorado, Miles Mikolas starts.
