Three people have been arrested after a high speed chase in Independence County. Authorities say that deputies were conducting a neighborhood canvas on Union Hill Road, during the canvas, they observed a pickup with Missouri Plates traveling at a high rate of speed. They attempted to pull the pickup over and it sped away, forcing vehicle off the road and into the ditch. The chase ended when the vehicle stopped just before Kings Loop Road. The driver was 28 year old Matthew Thomas, he was charged with aggravated assault and fleeing. Two passengers William Thomas and Camilla Fulks, both had warrants for their arrest. They were all three taken to Independence County jail, Bond for Matthew Thomas was set at $50,000 the other two are held without bond.
