Dakota Hudson pitched six innings of one-hit ball and hit a two-run single for his first big league RBIs, helping the St. Louis Cardinals rout the San Francisco Giants 10-0 on Thursday to open a three-game lead over the second-place Chicago Cubs in the NL Central.
Paul DeJong hit an early two-run homer, and Paul Goldschmidt singled and scored twice for the Cardinals, who for the sixth time in seven games.

Hahn, acquired from Oakland in theBrandon Moss trade in January 2018, had not pitched in the Major Leagues since June 28, 2017, when he was with the A’s. That long absence ended Thursday when Hahn took the mound for the first time as a Royal and tossed a scoreless inning in Kansas City’s 6-4 loss to Detroit at Kauffman Stadium.
