The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an unattended death. The Sheriff’s office reports that 61 year old John Frederick Watson was found dead on the front steps of his residence by a census taker. The manner of death was not immediately apparent. Watson’s body was sent to the Arkansas Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. No foul play is suspected, but the sheriff’s office says the investigation will remain open pending the results of the autopsy.
