Five Seymour residents were injured in a two vehicle accident Friday afternoon in Carter County. The Highway Patrol says that 46 year old Lydia Schwartz suffered serious injuries, Anna, and Leah Schwartz both suffered moderate injuries, and Emma and 36 year old Katie Schwartz both suffered minor injuries. The accident happened on U.S 60 about one mile east of Ellsinore around 1:20 Friday afternoon. The Schwartz family was injured when the Suburban they were in hit the rear of another vehicle.
