The City of Cabool is suing Dairy Farmers of America. The city claims their largest employer illegally discharged waste into the city’s wastewater system without pre-treating the wastewater. The city says that DFA’s actions were intentional and willful. The City says they have spent more than $400,000 so far in emergency services and protective actions and estimate millions more will be needed. A Judge has issued a temporary restraining order that keeps DFA from discharging waste into the City’s wastewater system.
