Last week two men were sentenced to time in prison in Independence County. 34 year old Jared Wilson Bates was sentenced to 10 years in prison and 10 years suspended imposition of sentence for four felonies. including possession of meth, fleeing and being a felon in possession of a firearm, plus three counts of failure to appear. 39 year old William Jason Medley was sentenced to 15 years on felony possession of meth with intent to deliver, possession o f drug paraphernalia, possession of drug paraphernalia to manufacture meth and hindering apprehension.
