West Plains Police Department Has Selected A New Canine Handler

The West Plains Police Department has selected the Canine Handler for their first “Dual Purpose” Canine Team, Officer Paul Bradshaw. The vendor for the Canine has selected a possible match for the West Plains Police Department. The canine will be arriving in the United States this coming Friday and once tested and accepted as a good candidate they will began an intensive sixteen week training program. Office Bradshaw will then be going to the facility for a three to four week training, working directly with his new partner. Officer Bradshaw has been with the Department since May 1, 2017.

The Canine Team will be trained in narcotic detection, article search, tracking, and apprehension and protection. The Department is excited about their new member and want to again thank our community for making this possible.
