The Baxter County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a possible overdose death. Saturday the Sheriff’s Department was called to a residence on county road 27 for the report of a 27 year old man that was unresponsive. The man identified as Daniel Hurlbut of Springdale Arkansas had allegedly came over to visit and according to witnesses went to the back room to change, after not returning for a period of time another person went to check on him and found him unconscious. Evidence of drug use was found in the vicinity of the victim. Hurlbut’s body was sent to the Arkansas State medical Examiner’s office to determine the cause of death.
