Three Independence County Residents were arrested in Texas in a vehicle reported stolen in Independence County. The Stolen vehicle was a 2016 GMC which had OnStar. OnStar tracked the vehicle and notified police in Texas of its whereabouts then. Officers began a pursuit and the security company remotely slowed the vehicle. A 16 year old juvenile was driving and was arrested along with two passengers identified as 18 year old trey Morgan Self and 20 year old Shane Self both of Newark. All three are charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of a stolen firearm and fleeing from authorities.
