
A 19 year old male subject and a juvenile face felony charges after a brief vehicle pursuit in Baxter County. The Sheriff’s Department reports that around 10 Monday morning they received a report from a man on Water Plant Road that his residence had been broken into and numerous items were stolen, including a Marlin 30-30 rifle, 12 knives, a small safe, personal papers, prescription medication and $3,500 cash. Also taken was a 2007 Ford pickup. The stolen pickup was later located on state highway 5 and fled from police but was later wrecked a short distance from the highway. 19 year old Jayson George Santoro and a 16 year old were arrested. They are both charged with felony breaking or entering, 2 counts of felony theft of property, felony fleeing by vehicle, felony tampering with evidence, felony possession of a schedule 2 controlled substance and felony possession of a firearm by certain persons and misdemeanor charges of possession of schedule VI controlled substance, and fleeing on foot. Santoro is being held on $20,000 bond. The juvenile was turned over to juvenile services.
