A woman from Thayer was injured in an accident Wednesday afternoon in Thayer. 82 year old Alpha Melott suffered serious injuries when shefell from a vehicle before it was placed in park and was run over by the vehicle. Melott was taken by Air-Evac to Cox South in Springfield. The accident happened on private property on county road 293 in Thayer.
